Crochet method: using a crochet hook, pick up one
stitch at base of stem with green yarn.  chain 11
stitches.  single crochet 2 times into 2nd chain from
hook.  *single crochet 2 times in next stitch, repeat
from * to end, and fasten off.  Make two tendrils in
this fashion.

Knitted method: using green yarn, pick up one stitch
at base of stem.  Using backward loop method, loosely
cast on ten stitches.  Knit through the front and
back, and then the front again of each stitch, this
increases each stitch twice, for a total of 30
stitches.  Bind off loosley purlwise, and trist tendil
around your finger to form.  Make two tendrils in this
fashion.
