Happy Spring! Today I wanted to introduce you to Ravenstitch Knits! Leslie is a knitter and designer living in Campbell River, British Columbia. She has been designing with Lichen and Lace yarns for a year now and has many designs available on Ravelry. Here are just three of her gorgeous shawls - there are many more here! The shawl above is called Floraar Flora. It is knit with 4 skeins of Lichen and Lace 1ply Superwash Merino in Wild Flowers.
The Engifer Shawl shown above is named for the old Norse word for Ginger. It is designed with 2 skeins of Lichen and Lace 1ply Superwash Fingering in Ginger Snap along with 1 skein each of Lichen and Garland. It is an asymmetrical shawl with lovely cabled borders.
The Maeve Shawl shown above features garter stitch bands knit with an additional strand of Marsh Mohair, creating a lovely self-forming scalloped edge. Instead of a cable, Leslie used an old Lacy Chain for the border. This shawl was knit with 3 skeins of 1ply Superwash Merino and 1 skein of Marsh Mohair, both in the colour Sugar Plum.
