The Sylphe Shawl, designed by Natasja Hornby (aka Moonstruck Knits) is a triangular heart-shaped shawl that is worked top-down from the center out, starting with a classic Garter Tab cast on. The eyecatching, graceful leaf and flower patterns are created by pulling loops through the fabric. The pattern provides detailed instructions, and you can also refer to the Moonstruck Knits video tutorial for additional guidance on creating Sylphe.
The shawl was designed with Rowan Felted Tweed (DK), but gauge is easily achieved with Lichen and Lace Rustic Heather Sport, using the pattern's suggested needles, 3.5mm.
The Sylphe Shawl Yarn Kit includes 6 skeins of Lichen and Lace Rustic Heather Sport in Citron.
Rustic Heather Sport is a minimally processed (non-superwash), sport weight yarn made with Canadian wool, spun in New Brunswick at Canada's oldest woolen mill, with colours hand dyed with care by Lichen and Lace.
Each skein of Rustic Heather Sport is 215 yards and 56 grams
Gauge is 22-26 stitches in 4” (10cm) on 3mm - 4mm needles
You can purchase the pattern through Ravelry here. This kit includes the yarn only.
